Doug & Jess's Family: A Mexican Vacation ...

During the week of Thanksgiving, Mark, Jackie, Jess and I traveled to Cancun, Mexico for a week long, very much needed vacation. We stayed at the Ocean Coral and Turquesa resort located in Rivera Maya. We opted for a "relaxing" week when we departed for the vacation, but we decided to take a few excursions that ended up being quite fun and entertaining. On Monday, we rode four wheelers in the jungle and jumped off of a 30' cliff into a sinkhole. On Tuesday, we snorkeled on the second largest reef in the world next to the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. We saw (and some of us touched) a stingray, an eel, a king crab, and a live conk shell. The currents where very challenging to swim in. On Wednesday, we traveled 120 miles to Cenote and Chichen Itza (one of the seven wonders of the world). On Thursday, we tried drinking the resort out of blue margaritas ... and the resort won. Needless to say, Jackie and Doug were down for the count at about 4 pm in afternoon. Mark and Jackie ... we had a great time and look forward to the next adventure. Enjoy the pictures ...
